Shooting has ended in Rome on Il Corpo, a thriller produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Eagle Pictures.

Directed by Vincenzo Alfieri (I Peggiori, Gli Uomini D'oro), the film is a gripping psychological thriller, Hitchcock-like, with masterful twists and an unpredictable ending.

It stars Giuseppe Battiston (Perfetti Sconosciuti, Pinocchio), Claudia Gerini (A Casa tutti bene, Tutta colpa di Freud), rising star Andrea Di Luigi (Nuovo Olimpo), Andrea Sartoretti (Romanzo criminale, A.C.A.B) and Amanda Campana (Summer time, Diabolik - Ginko all'attacco!).

The film was written by Vincenzo Alfieri and Giuseppe G. Stasi, who is back to writing after having scripted the famous TV series: The Bad Guy.

Andrea Reitano is the director of photography.

In “Il Corpo”,  Rebecca Zuin (Claudia Gerini), a rich and charming businesswoman, dies suddenly following an alleged heart attack and an autopsy is requested. That same night, the woman's body mysteriously disappears from the morgue where it was kept, and the night watchman, fleeing in panic, is accidentally run over, ending up in a coma. Inspector Corrado Cosser (Giuseppe Battiston) is called in to lead the investigation and immediately turns his suspicions on the woman's handsome husband, Bruno Furlan (Andrea Di Luigi), whose young age and greed could be the cause of a murder disguised as a heart attack. But it is Bruno himself who first begins to have doubts about his wife's death. What if Rebecca faked her own death and is now sadistically mocking him?

The film will be released in cinemas by Eagle Pictures in 2024.
